Ground Breaks on $40M Retailer Living Spaces Location
California-based furniture retailer Living Spaces is entering Texas via the north Austin suburb of Pflugerville. Construction officially launched on the $40 million project, which includes a 150,000-square-foot retail store, 380,000 square feet of warehouse space, a restaurant and pads for three additional businesses. The 60-acre project is at Heatherwilde Boulevard and SH 45 N. Ryan is the general contractor.
The store, which is scheduled to open in 2018, will be the size of nine football fields, and will have a 12-acre footprint. When completed, the project will provide 100 full-time positions in skilled warehousing and retail merchandising.
The city of Pflugerville’s data noted that an estimated 12,000 homes are forecast to be built in the area. In 2016, 953 houses were built, with an additional 494 built so far in 2017.
