Grocery Outlet Opens Today in Chatsworth

Pasadena-based development company HRI Development reaches another milestone with the completion of Phase II of The Gateway at Lassen in Chatsworth. And, Grocery Outlet, a Southern California-based grocer, is set to open its store at The Gateway today.

Grocery Outlet joins Planet Fitness, Popeye’s, Jack in the Box, Starbucks, Teriyaki Madness and Everytable at The Gateway at Lassen. The center is also complemented by a 124-room Marriott Residence Inn, currently under construction and due to open in first quarter 2022. The Marriott hotel is being developed by Excel Hotel Group based in San Diego.

“Despite unstable market conditions and COVID-related delays, we were able to bring together a very strong line-up of tenants that serve both the neighborhood and the surrounding businesses,” says Ielen Sarkisian, president of Strategic Development Advisors, which directed the marketing and tenanting of The Gateway at Lassen.

HRI Development embarked on an exhaustive entitlement and construction process in 2016 to complete The Gateway at Lassen.
