Grocery-Anchored OH Center Trades to Out-of-State-Buyer

The Patton | Wiles | Fuller Group (PWF) of Marcus & Millichap arranged the sale of 30th Street Plaza, a 157,055-square foot Giant Eagle-anchored community shopping center in Canton, OH. The asset, which was 67% occupied at the time of sale, sold at auction for $6,150,000.

PWF principals Erin Patton, Scott Wiles and Craig Fuller marketed the property in conjunction with the Ten-X auction platform on behalf of the seller, a New York-based public REIT.

The auction was held in June and the asset saw multiple bidders. The winning bidder, an out-of-state private investment group with other Ohio holdings, closed 35 days after executing the purchase agreement.

“Investors are definitely back in action and finding ways to get deals done,” said Patton. “We’ve put 14 shopping centers and 18 net-leased properties under agreement in recent weeks and look forward to a strong third quarter.”
