Greystar Unveils $100M Student Housing Development in Eugene
South Carolina-based Greystar and Star America Infrastructure Partners unveiled plans for the $100-million Union on Broadway student housing development in Eugene. The developers acquired a 1.1-acre site at 476 E. Broadway near the campus of the Univ. of Oregon with plans to commence construction immediately.
The off-campus project is Greystar’s first venture with Star America and its first ground-up development in Eugene. Union on Broadway will encompass 12-stories, 357 units with 608 beds and a retail component on the ground floor.
Greystar’s Doug Burges says, “This project will provide student housing in a vibrant location with proximity to the University of Oregon, downtown Eugene and the riverfront redevelopment. We look forward to working with our joint venture partner Star America to bring Union on Broadway to life.”
Pacific Western Bank issued a $59,950,000 loan to fund the development.
