Greystar Breaks Ground on 650-Unit MF Project in Everett

Greystar Real Estate Partners has broken ground on 85 Boston Street, a 650-unit apartment project in Everett, MASS.

The nearly six-acre site will be developed with 650 new apartments across two 6-story buildings with 33 affordable on-site units. The groundbreaking was for the first building, which will be dubbed The Mason and will include 330 rental units as well as on-site parking for approximately 400 cars. Amenities will include a courtyard with a pool and grilling stations, individual and collaborative spaces to support remote working, a fitness center with a studio room for classes, dining and lounge areas, a pet-friendly park and a community room.

The project marks Greystar’s first development project in the City of Everett. The project is a joint venture between Greystar and Cigna Investment Management.

“The city has been a terrific partner at all stages of this project and The Mason will greatly contribute to the transformation of the surrounding industrial neighborhood into a walkable, welcoming district with vibrant retail and outdoor spaces,” said Gary Kerr, managing director for Greystar Development Services in the Northeast Region.
