Greystar, Belmont Team Up on 17-Story Senior Living Tower in La Jolla

Belmont Village Senior Living and Greystar unveiled plans to break ground on Belmont Village Senior Living of La Jolla. The 17-story high-rise development is envisioned for 180 units of Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care.

Belmont Village’s Patricia Will says, “A mutual colleague brought us together – Greystar had sourced a terrific location with an entitlement history that made it a perfect opportunity for licensed seniors housing. We saw the potential of the site, and of bringing our mutual expertise together to create something really unique in independent and assisted living.”

A fully outfitted sports lounge is planned along with a well-equipped arts and crafts studio. Also planned are outdoor terraces for dining, a fireplace and entertainment area, heated saltwater swimming pool, ocean views and private balconies on the 16th and 17th floors.

Belmont Village and Greystar purchased the land at 3880 Nobel Dr. together in March, and closed on a construction loan last month. The project is Belmont’s first in partnership with another developer.
