Greenstone Partners Closes Nearly $25M in Chicago Multifamily, Retail Deals

Greenstone Partners has completed three transactions in the Chicago area, totaling nearly $25 million across the multifamily and retail sectors.

The deals included the $18.15 million sale of Block Belmont, a newly constructed, fifty-four-unit multifamily property. Greenstone represented the seller, a Chicago-based developer, and also procured the purchaser, a private local 1031 exchange buyer. The firm also brokered the sale of Elmwood Commons, a 16,840-square-foot retail center located in Elmwood Park, Illinois. The property
sold to an institutional investor for $5.18 million.

Additionally, Greenstone completed the sale of 1446 N. Campbell, a modern mid-1990s construction multifamily asset in a transaction that closed for $1 million. The buyer was attracted to the opportunity for its value-add potential, with a game plan focused on modernizing the units and legalizing an additional ADU.
