Greenhill Takes Last Full Floors at Rock Group’s 1271 AofA

Global investment bank Greenhill & Co. has leased the last available full floors at Rockefeller Group’s 1271 Ave. of the Americas. The long-term lease for 78,000 square feet brings the property’s occupancy to 98%.

The leasing milestone occurs as a $600-million redevelopment of the 2.1-million-square-foot tower is nearing completion. Since the project began in 2016, leases have been signed for approximately 1.9 million square feet.

“With Greenhill, we’ve completed the journey from 100% vacant to nearly 100% leased in less than 18 months,” said Daniel Moore, Rockefeller Group’s president and CEO.

Greenhill was represented by CBRE’s Michael Geoghegan, Andrew Sussman and Peter Gamber. Rockefeller Group was represented by an in-house team of Ed Guiltinan and Jennifer Stein, in coordination with CBRE’s Mary Ann Tighe, Howard Fiddle, John Maher, Evan Haskell and Dave Caperna.

Other tenants that have relocated to 1271 AofA include Latham & Watkins, H.I.G. Capital and Major League Baseball.
