GrayStreet Partners Buys ISD Bus Depot; Area Planned for Redevelopment

GrayStreet Partners purchased the Austin Street bus depot complex from the San Antonio Independent School District. The 14-acre complex is part of GrayStreet’s planned 23-acre commercial real estate redevelopment of San Antonio’s Government Hill neighborhood in the eastern part of downtown.

The Austin Street bus depot is bounded by Austin Street, North Alamo Street, East Grayson Street and Casa Blanca Street, on the east, west, north and south, respectively. The sales price was undisclosed.

San Antonio-based GrayStreet has not announced a timetable for the project, or released renderings or a site map of the proposed development. Kevin Covey, managing partner of GrayStreet, indicated that the idea is to help create a project that can be transformative for San Antonio.
