Graycor Takes Off With 82,500-SF SkyBridge Hangar
Graycor Construction Co. broke ground on an 82,500-square-foot, Class A hangar building at SkyBridge, a master-planned development at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, AZ. The aviation hangar will be the first runway-adjacent facility at SkyBridge, the nation’s first joint U.S. and Mexico inland port and customs processing hub.
The building will include 2,500 square feet of administrative and conference space, and four bays that can accommodate aircraft as large as a G650 business jet. “We are excited by the pre-leasing activity, and look forward to delivering the first on-airside spec hangar development at the airport in more than two decades,” said SkyBridge Arizona’s Ariel Picker.
Upon buildout, the 350-acre SkyBridge, will be the first-of-its-kind Unified Cargo Processing facility, helping users facilitate shipments between the U.S. and Mexico. The two-million-square-foot project will include light industrial, flex and cargo operations, as well as 100,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. CBRE is handling the leasing.
