Graycor Completes Upgrades to Two Texas Dick’s House of Sport Stores
Graycor Construction, a building and industrial project company headquartered in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, recently completed the extensive renovation of two DICK’S House of Sport and Golf Galaxy locations situated in Baybrook and Katy, Texas. Graycor Construction Company was the general contractor, and Fox Design was the project architect for the two projects. The newly redeveloped retail spaces included interior and exterior updates.
“Truly a one-of-a-kind destination, DICK’S House of Sport brings customers an experiential retail space like no other,” says Construction Manager Evan Wisthuff. “We were honored DICK’S Sporting Goods entrusted Graycor with these conversion projects. We place a high value on teamwork, collaboration and communication—all of which are essential when working on these unique projects.”
Each newly renovated DICK’S House of Sport store totals nearly 100,000 square feet. The House of Sport store concept includes in-store experiences such as a climbing wall and multi-sport cage, while Golf Galaxy features golf simulation hitting bays and a putting green.
