Graphite Bio Relocates, Expands in South San Francisco
Savills recently completed an 85,165-square-foot lease relocation and expansion on behalf of Graphite Bio, Inc. at Healthpeak Properties’ Nexus on Grand, a 141,000-square-foot life sciences development in South San Francisco. The tenant is expanding and relocating its headquarters and research hub from nearby 201 Haskins Way.
Austin Barrett, head of life sciences at Savills, led the team in representing Graphite Bio on the 10-year lease. He was joined by an internal Savills team of corporate managing director RJ Panzo, managing director Allison Hoffmann and associate directors Kyle Duckworth and Kelly Kennedy.
Graphite Bio will occupy the first full three floors of the building at 233 E. Grand Ave. and plans to fit out the spaces with a mix of labs and offices by its move-in date in 2023. The relocation and expansion occur in a life sciences and biotech market with local vacancy of less than 2%.
