Gourmet Home Products Buys Midtown Building for $31M 

Houseware manufacturer Gourmet Home Products will move to 148 Madison Avenue in Midtown, a building purchased by the company’s co-founder, Jack Saadeh, for $31.3 million from Steven Klein. 

The 16-story office building will serve as office and showroom space for the company. Saadeh financed the purchase with a $19 million loan from Interaudi Bank. The deal was brokered by Venture Capital Properties’ Soly Halabi and Joshua Nazar. 

Klein’s firm had purchased the building in 2001 along with 152 Madison Avenue. The deal closed on June 7.
