Gotham and RiseBoro to Develop 1,200 Apartments on Hunter’s Point South

City officials picked a team led by the Gotham Organization and RiseBoro Community Partnership to develop two prime, City-owned sites on Hunter’s Point South, on the southern tip of Long Island City in Queens.

The new towers on Parcels F and G will create 1,200 new apartments, including 90 homes for low-income seniors.

“We will see the transformation of this underutilized land into something beautiful… with over 900 affordable apartments, a new primary school, retail space, a medical center, arts and cultural space, and water recreational space,” said U.S. Rep. Carolyn Maloney.

The first two towers at Parcel A and Parcel B are already open: Hunter’s Point South Commons and Hunters Point South Crossing created 924 new affordable apartments. A third tower on Parcel C is in predevelopment.
