Goose Buys BK Development Site for $40M
JLL has finalized the $40 million sale of 268 Bergen St., a 238,000-square-foot development site in Brooklyn’s Boerum Hill, blocks from the Barclays Center. The buyer, Goose Property Management, plans to develop the site into a mixed-use multi-housing property.
The former industrial site was rezoned in 2022 to expand housing availability, and the seller, Dillon Realty Interests (DRI), completed the Uniform Land Use Review Process (ULURP) to secure approval for the project. The development will consist of four buildings with a total floor area of up to 238,000 square feet. The site’s location offers access to public transportation, including the Atlantic Ave/Barclays Center subway station and Atlantic Terminal.
The JLL Capital Markets team that arranged the transaction was led by Michael Mazzara, Brendan Maddigan, Ethan Stanton and Winfield Clifford. “Goose Property Management is an experienced local developer committed to improving our communities and creating much-needed affordable apartments,” said Mazzara.
