Google Takes Down 250,000 SF at Pier 57
Google Inc. has inked a deal to be the anchor tenant at Manhattan’s Pier 57, a 480,000-sf, mixed-use development in New York under the auspices of Youngwoo & Associates LLC and RXR Realty. The search-engine giant agreed to a 15-year, 250,000-sf lease with the developers.
Additionally, chef and television personality Anthony Bourdain is close to signing a 155,000-sf deal for an international food market at Pier 57.
Youngwoo and RXR agreed to a 97-year ground lease with Hudson River Park Trust in late 2014, and are investing $350 million to redevelop Pier 57, a former transportation terminal in Midtown South’s Hudson River Park. Plans call for office and retail space redevelopment.
