Google Launches Start-Up Space for Developers
Google will reportedly offer a 14,000-square-foot space for developers to utilize at 301 Howard Street in San Francisco. Both Amazon and Microsoft already offer similar services in the City.
Located nearby its main office on Spear Street, nearly one entire floor of the building will be open to Google’s Launchpad Accelerator, which allows developers from all of the world to take advantage of Google’s resources through equity-free funding, as well as offering mentors.
Additionally, the area can be used as event space by various developer groups, including Google Developer Group meetups, Design Sprints, Tech Talks and Codelabs to host events.
The company hopes that this kind of offering will help bring local and global developers closer to share resources and find technological solutions together.
