Google Finds Pearl for $131M in Boulder
Google acquired Pearl Place, a two-building, roughly 100,000-square-foot office campus in Boulder, CO from Denver-based Forum Real Estate Group for $130.9 million. The deal includes the recently-completed buildings, as well as land nearby that comprises the Pearl Place campus.
The transit-oriented property is located at 30th and Pearl streets, near Boulder’s Twenty-Ninth Street mall and Boulder Transit Village transit hub. Initially, Google was in negotiations to lease the space, but ended up buying the assets.
The tech giant had acquired the adjacent 1.4-acre parcel for more than $7 million in January 2016. That gives Google an option to build a third building to accommodate growth needs in Boulder.
