Google Expands to 240K-SF at Vornado, Related Building

Mountain View, CA-based Google expanded its footprint by 60,000 square feet in New York, increasing its commitment to 240,000 square feet at 85 10th Avenue. The 11-story property is located on the border of Manhattan’s West Chelsea and Meatpacking districts, between West 15th and West 16th Streets.

In 2014, the tech giant took 180,000 square feet at Vornado Realty Trust’s and Related Companies’ 635,000-square-foot building, with an expansion option. Located near the High Line and overlooking the Hudson River, the former Nabisco factory at 85 10th Avenue includes 40,500 square feet of restaurant space. The mix of office tenants includes L3 Technology, Telehouse International and Moet Hennessy USA.

Google now occupies roughly two million square feet of space in the Meatpacking district, spread across four buildings, including its HQ at 111 Eighth Ave.
