Google Considers Hunters Point for Offices

Google might set up shop in Hunters Point Shipyard in San Francisco. There is currently three million square feet of office space planned for the area, which is part of a vacant naval base.

The site’s developer is Lennar Urban. The entire land space is 700 acres and the project is expected to cost $8 billion when completed. On the former Candlestick Park grounds, buildings are expected to start opening 2018.

Lennar Urban is based in San Francisco. It is part of the Lennar Corp. home-building firm.
