Goodyear Tire Selects Forney for 1M-SF Distribution Center

Goodyear Tire Co. will place its newest distribution center in Forney, TX’s Gateway Development. The 1.2-million facility will be situated on 102 acres at Southwest Gateway Boulevard, south of U.S. 80, on Dallas-Fort Worth’s far southeast side.

The distribution center is anticipated to create at least 160 full-time positions.

Gateway is a 2,000-acre master-planned community owned by Petro-Hunt, and includes houses and apartments in addition to commercial real estate. Hillwood is developing the project, and will develop the Goodyear building, which the auto supplies manufacturer will lease.

A construction timeline for the facility was not immediately available.
