Goldman Sachs, Lionheart Provide $133M for Nashville W Hotel Development

Goldman Sachs and Lionheart Strategic Management provided senior and mezzanine financing totaling $133 million for the ground-up construction of a W-branded hotel in Nashville, TN. The 346-key hotel is being developed by a partnership of Magellan Development, Corner Partnership and Hospitality Gaming Advisors.

The 16-story property is located on 1.3 acres on 12th Avenue South in the dynamic urban Gulch neighborhood, which is emerging as a popular live, work, walk experience. The upscale Marriott-branded hotel is anticipated to open in 2020.

Lionheart Strategic Management’s Winston Fisher says, “The new W Hotel will be a great addition to the Gulch, one of the most vibrant and sought-after neighborhoods in Nashville, and we are pleased to play a role in its development.”

The senior mortgage and mezzanine financing will have co-terminus initial terms of three years.
