Goldie Initiative Charts Milestones in First-Ever Annual Report

The Goldie Initiative’s scholarship participation grew 73% year over year during 2018, while its scholarship disbursements increased by 100% during the same time period. Those are just a couple of the accomplishments charted by the organization, which seeks to prepare women for senior leadership roles in CRE, in its first-ever annual report.

A key factor in achieving these milestones, the Goldie Initiative’s leadership says in the report, is the support by corporate sponsors and other donors.

“From banks to construction, investment management to property management, Chicago’s CRE community is ‘all in’ on redefining the industry by elevating and advancing the careers of women with high potential,” wrote board president Steve Madden and executive director Megan Abraham.

“Our Goldie Gala in September 2018 raised over $425,000 for our organization and inaugurated a new ‘Shero’ award recognizing women who inspire and are committed to developing women in our industry,”  Madden and Abraham added.
