Goldenrod Buys 90 West Dallas Properties

A Nebraska investment firm has bought nearly 90 properties in a West Dallas redevelopment area. The Dallas Morning News says the sale is one of the largest of its kind near Downtown Dallas in years. Goldenrod Cos. has bought dozens of properties from the developers of the popular Trinity Groves complex. Most of the properties in the transaction are located near Singleton Boulevard and include both buildings and vacant lots, public records show. The sale included more than 35 acres of real estate.

The buyer Goldenrod Cos., was founded in Omaha in 2005 by former Nebraska football All-American Zach Wiegert, and has since acquired or developed more than $4.3 billion of properties in multiple US markets. In North Texas, the Company is the developer of the proposed Van Zandt mixed-use development in Fort Worth’s Cultural District. It has also acquired office buildings in Irving and North Dallas.
