Goettl Air Conditioning Buys Land for HQ and “School”

Eighty-year-old Goettl Air Conditioning & Plumbing acquired six acres at 8701 E. McDowell Rd. in Scottsdale, AZ, paying approximately $5 million in the process. The company is planning a new facility on the site that will be its corporate headquarters, as well as the firm’s new “Goettl University,” a high-tech trade school. The approximately 60,000-square-foot building is scheduled for completion in late 2020. LGE Design-Build is the designer.

Goettl purchased the property from Southwest Next Land Fund 1, LLC. Colliers International’s Greg Hopley represented the buyer. The seller was advised by Arizona Retail Services.

“This was a tremendous opportunity to purchase a very visible corporate location, with sight lines from both McDowell and the 101 Freeway,” Hopley said. “This property is surrounded by outstanding demographics in terms of labor pool and access to company clientele.”
