Go Outdoors Heads to Boston for Marina Purchase
Investment platform Go Outdoors has acquired Boston’s Constitution Marina for an undisclosed price, allowing the longtime owners of the top-rated waterfront facility to sail into retirement. Colliers brokered the sale of the 273-slip marina, representing the seller, Bosport Docking, LLC. Go Outdoors was not represented by a broker.
Located at 28 Constitution Rd, the marina sits along Boston Harbor and the historic Freedom Trail in the Charlestown neighborhood, just outside downtown Boston. Constitutional Marina features roughly 9,000 linear feet of dockage along with protected transient and seasonal dockage and is rated among the top 3% of marinas nationwide on Marinas.com.
The family that has owned and operated the marina for more than 60 years sought a buyer that would be a responsible and capable steward of the asset. Go Outdoors emerged as the new owner through a competitive call-for-offers process that led to 10 offers from qualified buyers, according to a statement by Colliers. Historically focused on the Southeast U.S., Go Outdoors owns 16 marinas and four RV resort parks along with its partner, Monarch Alternative Capital LP.
