Girl Scouts Relocate HQ in Seattle
The Girl Scouts of Western Washington moved its HQ to G2, formerly The Design Center, in Seattle’s Georgetown. The organization took occupancy of nearly 9,000 square feet at 5601 6th Avenue South.
The Girl Scouts had been located in lower Queen Anne for 17 years, between a community church and high-rise apartment. The neighborhood’s surrounding demographics had changed, so the group decided to move closer to the population of girls it serves.
G2 is more accessible to all of the Girl Scouts’ King County members, since it is near strong public transportation routes. Among the innovative features in the cool “girl-maximized” space are: A future multipurpose room “Maker Space” and a state-of-the-art boardroom.
Colliers’ Greg Inglin and Charlie Farra represented the Girl Scouts. JLL’s Kelly Monteiro and Piper Luhrs helped manage the build-out. JLL’s Joe Gowan and Lloyd Low represented the landlord in the lease.

(L to R) Lisa Arthofer (OpenSquare), Charlie Farra (Colliers), Elaine Morse (Girl Scouts), Mia Marshall (Nelson), Darin Postma (Venture General Contracting) and Elaine Morse (Girl Scouts) cutting the ribbon.
