GFI Markets Prewar Apartments in the Bronx’s Tremont Section

GFI Realty Services has been named the exclusive sales agent for 617 E. 179th St., a fully-occupied nine-unit multifamily building in the Tremont section of the Bronx. The firm’s Yehoshua Shamel will oversee marketing of the property. Pricing is targeted at $1.695 million.

Constructed in 1910, the four-story building totals approximately 8,580 square feet. Four of the units are three-bedroom, while two are four-bedroom and there are a single-bedroom unit and a two-bedroom unit.

“The asset benefits from the units’ large layouts and the property’s proximity to major commercial corridors,” said Shamel. “Much of the building is rent-stabilized, presenting investors with considerable long-term upside. We anticipate strong interest from buyers who are bullish on the area’s potential, and are looking to break into The Bronx or add to their local portfolios.”

The property is located near the Bronx Zoo, Tremont Park, Crotona Park and the 2 and 5 subway lines.
