Gerding Edlen “Virtually” Breaks Ground on Portland Treatment Center
Portland dignitaries and community members, including Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and Speaker of the House Tina Kotek, recently gathered virtually to commemorate the ground breaking of De Paul Treatment Centers’ addiction treatment facility. The new two-story 53,000-square-foot project will sit on 3.4 acres of therapeutically-planned green space in Southeast Portland’s Gateway District.
Portland-based Gerding Edlen is serving as the project’s development partner. The facility was designed by Holst Architecture. The Center, at 10230 SE Cherry Blossom Dr., is scheduled to open in the spring of 2021.
The new treatment center has been designed using trauma-informed principles and is purpose-built to provide holistic care for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. The facility will deliver treatment services to more than 5,100 individuals and their families a year, and reach an additional 5,300 individuals through community education programs.
