Gerding Edlen Selected for OMSI Development in PDX
Portland, OR-based Gerding Edlen was selected by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) to develop an 18-acre riverfront campus in Portland. The investment and development firm will work with the OMSI team to craft a long-term vision for the central east side property that is envisioned as an Innovation Quadrant.
The plan for roughly 11 acres of underdeveloped land would include a mix of uses, including housing, offices, retail and restaurants. OMSI is located on SE Water Avenue, at the East end of the Hawthorne Bridge.
OMSI President and CEO Nancy Stueber, says of Gerding Edlen, “I was impressed by their demonstrated expertise in developing transformative urban neighborhoods like the Brewery Blocks and South Waterfront, and their ability to work with the City of Portland and other public agencies in securing public funds for public/private partnerships.”
