Georgia Restaurants Can Operate at Full Capacity
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed an executive order June 11 intended to relax restrictions put in place since April to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The order included no limits on the number of dine-in customers at restaurants, as well as allowing conventions to resume and live performance venues to reopen.
The Governor’s executive order also lifts the shelter-in-place order on those 65 and older unless they suffer from underlying medical conditions. The relaxed restrictions go into effect at midnight on June 16.
As of June 12, there have been 54,973 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Georgia and 2,375 deaths, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health.
