Georgetown Residents to Receive New H-E-B Store

Georgetown residents can start planning. H-E-B’s newest store will open on June 7th. In many states an opening of a grocery store would get a collective yawn. But, when it comes to Texas H-E-B stores, that’s not the case. That’s because hundreds of residents have been known to tolerate any weather condition to be there for the grand opening. Last September, 1,500 people were waiting in line in Frisco on day one.

The store, in the Wolf Lake Village community, will have 121,000 square feet. It will replace a nearby store with half of the space. 350 workers will transfer over from the other store, and 100 more will be added.

The Wolf Lakes Village H-E-B will include a pharmacy with drive-thru, a Meal Simple section of ready-to-cook foods, a meat market and seafood counter, and a two-story location of its True Texas BBQ restaurant, plus a fuel station and car wash.

H-E-B is also considering adding stores in Pflugerville and Manor.
