George Smith Partners Opens NYC Office, Run by Industry Veteran Steffelin

George Smith Partners (GSP) has launched a New York City office, to be overseen by industry veteran Ed Steffelin (pictured). He has joined the capital markets advisory firm as SVP on the Malcolm Davies team, and will run the new office in Midtown.

“While we are already recognized nationally, establishing GSP as a true bicoastal entity will deliver increased access to capital and a greater capacity to serve clients throughout the nation,” said Davies, managing director at GSP.

Steffelin brings more than 25 years’ investment experience in structured products, alternative assets and real estate to GSP, including a specialty in housing and land development.

“As the nation’s propensity and need for mixed-use and master-planned residential product grows, there is an opportunity to capitalize on this market, which has been traditionally underserved by capital,” said Steffelin.

Previously, he was a GSP client as EVP of capital markets for Walton International Group.
