George Comfort & Sons Unveils Renovated 135 W. 50th
George Comfort & Sons has completed an extensive renovation and modernization of 135 W.50th St., its 925,000-square-foot Midtown office tower. Working with Gensler, ownership has reimagined the lobby and entrances, created a new tenant amenity center with an activated indoor/outdoor terrace and incorporated a series of health-focused improvements.
“While we embarked on our reinvention of 135 W. 50th St. in 2019, the improvements we’ve made to the tower are even more highly valued by tenants today,” said George Comfort & Sons president and CEO Peter S. Duncan. “We’ve reclaimed a sense of light and transparency, energized the arrival experience, and emphasized tenant wellness – all designed to make 135 W. 50th the ideal environment for the city’s top companies.”
The new amenity center will be managed by Industrious and named Club 135 by Industrious. It includes a multipurpose room that can host events for up to 200-plus guests once deemed safe.
