Gateway Unveils Renderings of $1.5B Cross Bayou Point Project in Shreveport

Gateway Development Consortium (GDC) unveiled renderings for Cross Bayou Point, a $1.5-billion downtown waterfront development in Shreveport. Designed by architectural firm Grace Hebert Curtis, the project is slated to include 5,000 affordable, market-rate and luxury residences, as well as a new Criminal Justice Center, office building, sports complex and a STEM school.

Cross Bayou Point is located within the Downtown/Cross Bayou Area opportunity zone. The project could be shovel-ready by the end of the year.

“I am excited that local leadership is finally moving forward to develop Cross Bayou. I am even more excited that this project has the potential to create a ripple effect in the surrounding neighborhoods, and I like the fact that GDC is committed to maximum inclusion of minority firms on the project,” said City Councilman Willie Bradford.
