$500M Gateway Jax given ok by city council

Gateway Jax Receives Greenlight for $500M Project

The City of Jacksonville has given developer Gateway Jax approval to start work on three of five buildings in the much-expected mixed-use downtown development.

The $500 million project will include 1,000 multifamily units and thousands of square feet of retail space in downtown Jacksonville’s North Core. No timeline has been set as of yet for completing the project.

The Jacksonville Business Journal reports the project the developers are calling N4 is a 57,300-square-foot building with a seven-story mixed-use building with approximately 16,000 square feet of ground floor retail, 270 residential units and two levels of parking.

The one known as N8 is a 59,100-square-foot building The proposed development includes a 22-story mixed-use building with approximately 530 residential units, second and third-floor parking and about 62,000 square feet of ground floor and second-floor retail space.

N11 is a seven-story, 32,530-square-foot mixed-use project. It has approximately 21,000 square feet of ground floor retail and 205 residential units.
