Gates of Prosper Expansion Underway

In the next 30 days, Blue Star Land plans to begin building its third phase of retail and second phase of apartments near the southwest corner of Preston Road and U.S. Route 380.

Preleasing for the approximately 250,000-square-foot retail portion is underway. Some major national retailers have signed on.

The Dallas Morning News reports, 95% leased between the first two phases of retail located to the east of Preston Road and north of Richland Boulevard on the western side of Preston, restaurants and retailers continue to compete for space.

Blue Star Land held the grand opening for its first phase of apartments at the project, Lakeview at the Gates of Prosper, last week. The company is set to build more than 250 units in its next phase.

The third phase of retail at the development, which welcomed a Target in October, will push the property past 1 million square feet of retail space. Dallas-based Lincoln Property Company leads retail leasing at Gates of Prosper.
