Gallagher Acquires AssuredPartners for $13.5B

Insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher has signed a definitive agreement to acquire AssuredPartners for $13.45 billion. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close during the first quarter of 2025.

Based in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Gallagher is a global insurance brokerage, risk management and consulting services firm. AssuredPartners is a U.S. insurance broker with client capabilities across commercial property, casualty, specialty, employee benefits and personal lines. Gallagher expects to finance the transaction through a combination of long-term debt, short-term borrowings, free cash, and common equity.
