Fundrise Pays $30M for Atlanta’s Aerotropolis North Industrial Facilty
Washington, DC-based Fundrise has purchased Aerotropolis North, a 200,000-square-foot modern industrial and logistics facility in Atlanta, GA, for $30.4 million. A JLL team of Dennis Mitchell, Matt Wirth, Britton Burdette and Bo Osgood represented seller, Bixby Land Company.
“We believe the continued growth of e-commerce and its impact on consumer behavior will only increase the demand for well-located industrial assets,” said Fundrise co-founder and CEO Ben Miller. “As a result, expanding our exposure to the last-mile industrial sector on behalf of our more than 200,000 investors remains an important strategic focus for us.”
The 2020-constructed Aerotropolis North is fully leased to Kal Freight Logistic. It is located on Jonesboro Road less than one mile from the major logistical thoroughfare of Interstate 285 and only 10 minutes from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The front-load building is situated on 16.2 acres and offers a 32-foot clear height, 31 dock-high doors, two drive-in doors, 20 trailer parking stalls, LED lighting, ESFR fire protection and 115 auto parking spaces.
