Full-Service Marina in FL Panhandle Slips into New Ownership

SVN Marinas has advised the owners of Emerald Coast Marine Group on the sale of Emerald Coast Marine Center, full-service marina, boat dealership, restaurant, boat club and yacht club, in Niceville, FL. Terms of the sale — to buyer Safe Harbor Marinas, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sun Communities, Inc. — were not disclosed.

The Emerald Coast Marine Center is located on Choctawhatchee Bay in the FL Panhandle and provides a turnkey approach to boat ownership, recreation, storage and maintenance.  The marina includes a hurricane-rated indoor storage facility accommodating up to 280 boats and 70 wet slips together with a regional boat dealership.

SVN is the only national commercial real estate firm with a dedicated marina and marine specialty practice, according to the company. SVN Marinas was strategically formed by the merger of U.S. Marina Brokers and Safe Haven Advisors, and has headquarters in FL and MA.
