Full Circle Communities, Visionary Ventures Plan 45-Unit MF Development

Developer Full Circle Communities and Visionary Ventures, a Native-led nonprofit organization, are working together to develop Chicago’s first affordable housing development envisioned by and designed for the city’s Indigenous People.

Located at 2907 West Irving Park, the project will include 45 units of affordable housing in a newly constructed, mixed-use development along a major corridor in the Irving Park neighborhood. The seven-story, 62,000-square-foot building will offer 10 studio, 15 one-bedroom, 10 two-bedroom, and 10 three-bedroom apartments.

The property’s first floor will have a residential lobby, parking, management, supportive service, and maintenance offices, as well as commercial space for a nonprofit tenant. The architecture, which was created by Canopy / architecture + design, was influenced by native culture and used the metaphor of the river throughout the project.
