FTI Consulting Announces New RE Restructuring Advisory Leadership

DC-based FTI Consulting has appointed Michael A. Criscito as senior managing director and co-leader of the firm’s Real Estate Restructuring Advisory Services. Senior managing director Cynthia A. Nelson has also been named Co-Leader.

With over 30 years of global banking experience, Criscito specializes in restructuring and distressed real estate. He has advised companies across various industries and creditor classes worldwide, guiding creditors through restructuring processes to optimize recovery. He has also represented principals in distressed real estate asset matters.

Nelson brings over 30 years of experience advising stakeholders with interests in real estate. She assists clients in developing and executing turnaround plans and restructurings. Prior to FTI Consulting, Nelson was a partner in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Business Recovery Services practice. She has held positions at Jones Lang Wootton, Laventhol & Horwath, and Valencia Company (Newhall Land & Farming).
