Fry's to anchor Buckeye retail center

Fry’s Grocery Store To Anchor Buckeye Retail Center

A Fry’s grocery store will take up 123,000 of the 152,000 square foot shopping center being proposed in Buckeye. The site will also have room for a gas station and three additional buildings. A likely option for one of the buildings is a drive-thru restaurant. Phoenix-based Barclay Group will develop it.

The Phoenix Business Journal reports the City of Buckeye planning commission approved a site plan request for the retail center at its Aug. 8 meeting. The owner is listed in project documents as Forestar Real Estate Group Inc.

The Fry’s store will be built first. The additional stores will be developed based on market demand. No other retail tenants have been finalized for the shopping center at this time. The shops will be situated at the southeast corner of Miller and Broadway roads.
