Frost Bank to open first of three Frisco branches

Frost Bank Has Big Plans for Frisco

The well-respected Texas-bred bank is bucking the trend of closing banking centers as more people move to online banking. Frost Bank plans to open three new neighborhood banks in Frisco. The company plans to spend $8.5 million on a stand-alone building with a drive-up windows, the first at 7101 Warren Parkway. That would make 28 Frost Banks in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. “It’s to our shareholders’ advantage for us to expand organically as opposed to making acquisitions and paying large premiums,” said CEO Phil Green, who has helmed the San Antonio-based bank since 2016.

Besides Dallas, the company has big expansion plans in other Texas metro areas. The $51.3 billion-asset bank has opened 25 branches in Houston over the past four years, and plans to open eight more in the area in the next two years.
