HEB considering another Frisco store

Frisco to get Second H-E-B Supermarket

If it works, keep going to the well. When the first H-E-B opened in Frisco last September, 1,500 people formed a line before the store opened at 6 a.m. Lines continued for days. And now it looks like they may be getting another store.

The company has been granted a 30-day extension by Frisco’s planning and zoning staff to submit its preliminary plat work for a future H-E-B store on the southwest corner of U.S. 380 W. University and FM 423 or Gee Road near Little Elm. H-E-B owns the land. The company has not released a timeline for construction or a grand opening.

For its first 100 years of operation, the store mostly depended on southern and central Texas for customers but recently, they’ve pushed into North Texas. Nine stores have opened, five are on the way and they’ve bought land in approximately 20 other North Texas towns.
