Frisco Lands 2,000 New Jobs with TIAA Move

The Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA) is moving its headquarters from New York to Frisco. TIAA will put down roots at The Star in Frisco, a 91-acre campus which is shared with the Dallas Cowboys. The new center is expected to create 2,000 new jobs. It’s not known yet how many workers will make the move from New York to their new Texas location.

The move was a public-private partnership involving TIAA, the City of Frisco and the State of Texas. A Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) grant of $18,000,000 has been extended to TIAA. In addition to the Texas Enterprise Fund Award, TIAA is being offered a $19,000 Veteran Created Job Bonus.

TIAA will occupy all of a currently standing 15 story, 500,000 square foot high-rise and will spend $58 million to get it ready.

TIAA is a Fortune 100 financial services business and is a provider of retirement and investment solutions.
