Frisco Greenlights Medical Center
Today it’s a thriving 47-acre farm on the corner of Dallas Parkway and PGA Parkway. Soon it will be a busy medical center. The Frisco City Council recently approved a rezoning request by Baylor Scott & White Health to switch from retail and industrial to office. The change will allow a multistory health care building.
A number of developers approached the town about the land, but none got it right until now, “I know of four or five different projects that have been presented on this site before, and it’s good to see the city hold out for something like a great hospital,” said Frisco’s Jon Kendall.
The medical group has not yet finalized its plans for the property but expects to within a the next few months. Baylor Scott & White has a number of facilities in Frisco, including a sports medicine facility and two other nearby medical centers.
