Freehold Capital, Värde to Buy Master-Planned Communities

Boston-based Freehold Capital Management and Minneapolis-based Värde Partners have formed a partnership to acquire two master-planned communities: Savannah Quarters in Pooler, Georgia, and Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Savannah Quarters spans 2,600 acres and is located approximately 14 miles from Savannah, with around 700 remaining homes to be developed. Grande Dunes covers 2,200 acres and is home to over 2,300 families, with multiple remaining parcels for development. The acquisition includes existing and future home sites, commercial parcels, and amenities like Grande Dunes’ marina and Ocean Club.

“With continued strong demand for housing in major Sunbelt markets, we believe these communities offer a compelling and complementary addition to our existing portfolio of master-planned communities,” said Brendan Bosman, Senior Managing Director at Värde Partners.
