Foxtrot to Reopen Location in River North

A fifth Foxtrot location is set to reopen in Chicago this week in River North. The upscale grocery chain recently reopened its store on Maple Street in the Gold Coast.

The new location will reopen at 401 N. Wells St., after plans from original co-founder and CEO Mike LaVitola were announced to plans to relaunch the brand earlier this summer. In April, Foxtrot’s parent company filed for bankruptcy in April and abruptly closed all of its locations.

The stores that reopen, starting in Chicago with the Old Town and Gold Coast locations, will operate under a new company under the Foxtrot brand — and LaVitola’s leadership, reported the Chicago Business Journal.

“Over the next couple of weeks we’ll have more locations to share,” said LaVitola. “Now that we have clear line of sight on the actual locations that are opening, we get more substantive conversations with our team members, and start bringing them back,” LaVitola said.
