Foxtrot Market Unveils Plans for National Expansion
Chicago-based Foxtrot Market, an upscale convenience store that began as a strictly digital merchant, announced expansion plans Tuesday that will more than quadruple its current store count. Currently operating 13 stores in Chicago, Dallas and Washington, DC, Foxtrot will add 50 locations in New York City, Austin, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles and Houston.
The new locations will have larger footprints than the earliest physical stores. They’ll also feature on-premises dining, enhanced café menus and in-store merchandising that leans into and anticipates trends landscape, according to Foxtrot.
“We first introduced ourselves to customers through online only, rapid-delivery of our dream convenience store,” said Mike LaVitola, co-founder and CEO of Foxtrot. “In the years since, we’ve realized the pivotal role the physical shops play within neighborhoods. There’s no better way to spark discovery than by browsing shelves, and no better platform to elevate local makers than giving them a home in the neighborhood.”
